"Rustom" is a Bollywood release about a navy commander and a rebellious apprentice who falls in love with each other. Vidyut Jammwal plays the role of Rustom while Atul Kulkarni plays the role of Prem. Vidyut's previous venture was Chandni Baran which won him critical acclaim for his performance. He plays the role of an angry warrior who seeks revenge for an insult done to his father. Atul plays a Navy Commander who also has a rebellious streak. Tannishtha Chatterjee plays the role of Cyriaca, a beautiful and sensitive girl who is the daughter of Khan Bahadur Mohammed Mithuwala, played by Atul Kulkarni. Omi Vaidya plays his usual "Hindi Medium" role of a funny and awkward sidekick. The powerhouse cast is stronger than that of "Chandni Bar". There are some interesting additions to the cast such as Shiv Subramaniam and Madhura Deshpande. Vidyut Jammwal Vidyut has impressed audiences with his performance in his previous films such as "Sarbjit", and "Chandni Bar". He has now played the role of a Navy Commander, something which is close to his heart. His role in "Rustom" will be much more mature than that of his previous films. Vidyut's performance in "Chandni Bar" was praised by critics and he has cemented himself as one of India's leading action stars. Atul Kulkarni Atul has also featured alongside Vidyut in "Chandni Bar". He plays a Navy Commander who is a fatherly figure to Rustom. Atul Kulkarni is known for being a versatile actor, and this trait will be seen throughout his performance in Rustom,as he balances his character perfectly. Tannishtha Chatterjee Tannishtha is known for her performance in films such as "Brick Lane" and "Mr.X". Her performance in Rustom will be that of a dutiful daughter who seeks to protect her father's image. Omi Vaidya Omi played the role of Ali in "Chandni Bar". He returns to reprise his role as the funny sidekick, but also has a much larger character arc.
